Scholarship Eligibility

The Worthington Scholarship is available to seniors at partner high schools who meet eligibility guidelines shown below; have an expected family contribution (from the FAFSA) of $15,000 or less, and plan to attend an eligible college full-time in the fall. The Scholarship has both 4-year and 2-year tracks.


The Scholarship recipients are chosen by each high school’s Scholarship Committee based on need and merit. Scholarship Applications can be picked up in the Student Services office.   Check with your guidance office for deadlines.  


4-Year Scholarship

  • 85 average or above
  • Plans to enroll as a full-time student at one of the following colleges or universities:
    • Bates College
    • Bowdoin College
    • Colby College
    • Husson University
    • Maine Maritime Academy
    • Thomas College
    • University of Maine
    • University of Maine – Augusta
    • University of Maine – Farmington
    • University of Maine – Fort Kent
    • University of Maine – Machias
    • University of Maine – Presque Isle
    • University of Southern Maine

2-Year Scholarship


  • 76 average or higher
  • Plans to enroll as a full-time student at one of the following colleges:
    • Central Maine Community College
    • Eastern Maine Community College
    • Kennebec Valley Community College
    • Northern Maine Community College
    • Southern Maine Community College
    • Washington County Community College
    • York County Community College
