2019 Scholarship Eligibility

The Worthington Scholarship is available to graduates of partner high schools who meet the eligibility guidelines shown below; have an expected family contribution (from the FAFSA) of $15,000 or less, and plan to attend an eligible college full-time in the fall. The Scholarship is available for both community college degree programs of 1 – 3 years, and 4 year college programs.

Scholarship recipients are chosen by each high school’s Scholarship Committee based on need and merit.  Check with your guidance office for 2019 applications and deadlines.   


4-Year College Scholarships

  • 85 average or above
  • Plans to enroll as a full-time student at one of the following colleges or universities:
    • Bates College
    • Bowdoin College
    • Colby College
    • Husson University
    • Maine Maritime Academy
    • Thomas College
    • University of Maine
    • University of Maine – Augusta
    • University of Maine – Farmington
    • University of Maine – Fort Kent
    • University of Maine – Machias
    • University of Maine – Presque Isle
    • University of Southern Maine

Community College Program Scholarships (1-3 years)

  • 76 average or higher
  • Plans to enroll as a full-time student at one of the following colleges:
    • Central Maine Community College
    • Eastern Maine Community College
    • Kennebec Valley Community College
    • Northern Maine Community College
    • Southern Maine Community College
    • Washington County Community College
    • York County Community College
